New President appointed to Tony Roma's parent company

RomaCorp, a USA-based company that owns the Tony Roma brand, has announced its new President of RomaCorp. Ken Myres has been appointed to the role of President of RomaCorp having previously held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for RomaCorp. Tony Roma is a grill restaurant franchise that operates in 33 countries and territories worldwide.

Ken Myres said: 'I would like to thank the Board for this wonderful opportunity and I am honoured to be leading a great team of people at Romacorp and Tony Roma's franchise partners around the world. Having just concluded fiscal year 2009, and notwithstanding the difficult economic environment, the company is in the best financial shape in over ten years. The company just ended the year with no debt and a significant positive cash balance. My commitment to the company and the Board is to continue to take the necessary steps to strengthen and enhance the overall Tony Roma's experience for our guests, franchise partners, employees and all our stakeholders.'
