Thai retailer enters India
Thai home-furnishings retail retailer Index Living Mall Co is set to enter India next year through a franchise agreement with an Indian partner. The agreement will see seven outlets established over the next five years, starting with a store in Mumbai."India has huge market potential, reflecting the boom of the overall economy during the past four years," says Index Living Mall Co Managing Director Kijja Pattamasattayasonthi. "India has huge market potential."
Index Living Mall Co operates 13 stores in Thailand, with three more in development and a target of 20 in total. India represents Index Living Mall Co's second international market, with the company already established in six locations in Indonesia. Further plans exist to develop a presence in Dubai.
