Google’s top three restaurant searches last year were franchises

Franchises were the top three most popular restaurant searches on Google last year, according to Google's 11th annual Zeitgeist list.

The top three restaurant searches in the US last year were Pizza Hut (first place), Domino's Pizza (second place), and Papa John's (third place).

Globally, Wendy's topped the list of the fastest-rising food and drink terms searched, and Little Caesars was third.
