Howards Storage World opens in Spain

Howards Storage World has opened its first store in Spain, under Master Franchisee Alex Townend. The store opened in September in the northern city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, in the shopping centre Commercial El Boulevard of Vitoria-Gasteiz.

There are now more than 50 Howards Storage World stores around Australia and five stores internationally in New Zealand, Singapore and Dubai. Townend, whose family company owned and operated DHL in Spain, plans to open 150 stores over the next 10 years.

'Storage is not something unique to Australians, but rather an issue facing people everywhere,' says Howards Storage World Director Dirk Spence. 'Our unique offering of innovative storage ideas has been enthusiastically embraced by shoppers. We are now seeking Master Franchisees in many countries around the world with The Philippines, South Africa, Sweden and the Netherlands all in final negotiation."
