Gap begins franchising

A MAJOR US clothing retail brand has entered the franchise industry in order to develop its growth in Asia. Gap has signed a franchise agreement with Singaporean group FJ Benjamin Holdings which will see stores opened in Singapore and Malaysia under the Gap and Banana Republic brands.

FJ Benjamin Holdings already owns franchises under Guess, Valentino and La Senza across South East Asia and Australia, and Cap plans to bring more franchise partners on board in the Asian region.
