Fatburger continues international expansion

USA-based quick-service restaurant chain Fatburger is set to continue its international expansion with the opening of its latest franchise in Canada. Since the opening the first Fatburger franchise in Canada in 2005 the brand has grown to 11 locations within the country. The opening of the latest Fatburger restaurant will be the third to open in the Vancouver territory.

Chairman of Fatburger Andy Wiederhorn said: "We're delighted to have such a wonderful franchise partner as Frank DiBenedetto of Frankie's Burger Enterprises, Inc. and Ricky's All Day Grill in Canada. In only a short time we have launched a dozen stores in the region. Our quality menu provides a cost effective dining option that is extremely popular with our neighbours to the North."

As well as franchises in Canada, Fatburger also has locations in the Middle East and Asia Pacific and plans to open 40 more locations internationally over the next few years.
