A World of Opportunity
Armed with a dream of entrepreneurship, Ian Thomas purchased the Jani-King master franchise rights for the United Kingdom in 1992.

"Ian's success is just one example of franchising working on an international scale," says Ted Looney, an international development advisor for Jani-King, which has 10,300 franchisees and more than 100 regional support offices worldwide. "Franchising is one of the most well-known and accepted methods of business ownership in the world, and Jani-King's is one of the top franchise opportunities out there."
Jani-King, the largest commercial cleaning franchisor in the world, began franchising in the US in 1974 and internationally in 1986. Since then, the company has granted international master franchises in 17 countries. "We continue to prove that the Jani-King system is global," says Gary Dick, Vice President of Jani-King Franchising, Inc. "Most recently, we have entered into a master franchise agreement for Belgium - which was purchased by the current Jani-King master franchise owner for France. The fact that our current master franchise owner in France believes so much in the Jani-King system that he has purchased the rights to expand into Belgium speaks volumes about the opportunities Jani-King provides. Opportunities with Jani-King exist all across Europe, and we are looking forward to further expansion."
According to Ian Thomas, Jani-King's track record and business concept have contributed to his success in the UK in many ways. "Jani-King's 35 years of experience in the commercial cleaning franchising industry is unparalleled and is proven by the success of the Jani-King system which has been applied thousands of times over," he points out. "We are proud to be a part of Jani-King."
