The marketplace for SMART repairs is expanding exponentially as car ownership figures continue to rise and congestion on the roads increases. Carsten launched ChipsAway in Denmark five years ago. To date, including his own operations, Carsten has established nearly 50% market coverage, and his business is continuing to grow rapidly. "In Denmark there is little or no competition," he says. "We have advertised extensively and there is an increasing awareness of the SMART repairs concept in general and of our brand in particular. It is going very well and the business is highly profitable. On the basis of my success in Denmark, I was eager to secure the rights to launch ChipsAway in Germany."

Germany has vast potential in comparison to Denmark, Carsten explains. There are only 1.8 million cars in Denmark, compared to over 40 million in Germany, and high priority is placed on vehicles being in pristine condition. He believes the marketplace is ripe for introduction of the ChipsAway system, and expects to have 500 ChipsAway operations established over the next five years. "I am not afraid of competition," Carsten states. "Our experience in Denmark has taught me that ChipsAway has the products, services and technology to capture the lion's share of this potentially very lucrative market in Germany. I don't expect a return overnight on what is a substantial investment, but I confidently predict building huge turnover in Germany within a few years."

INTERNATIONAL 'KNOWLEDGE SHARING' FORUM AT NEW HQ

ChipsAway International is to host a convention of its international business partners this Autumn/Fall, to be held at the company's prestigious new headquarters in the UK, which will coincide with the formal opening of the premises.

"Our move to new headquarters has enabled us to refurbish our previous premises to create a state-of-the-art international training and assessment centre," Roger Wild commented.
