Summary of Operation: Ethical cosmetics retalier Stenders was founded in Riga, Latvia in 2001 and has been franchising its successful business model since 2002. With over 160 shops in 17 countries worldwide including Russia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, China, Lithuania and the Baltic States, Poland, Luxembourg, Sweden, Finland and Hungary. Stenders has recently signed contracts with franchise owners in Slovenia and Denmark. Stenders is keen to become a globally recognised brand and has arrived in the UK with plans to open 100 outlets nationwide.
