KFC has opened its first outlet that features a dedicated coffee shop space in Bucharest.
The outlet is located in the Dorobanti area of the city and involved an investment of €600,000 to open. Carmen Lupulet, Marketing Director of KFC Romania, said: "KFC Dorobanti is a trial project for us, since it has a coffee shop area incorporated in the store. The new Coffee & Sweets concept fits it very well.
"The suggestion to have a coffee shop, especially in restaurants close to areas with many offices or with tradition of spending the time in coffee shop, belong to our clients in Romania, this being a 100 per cent local test. But the results will be considered by our colleagues in Europe."
