Curves has been named Franchisor of the Year 2009
USA-based fitness franchise Curves has been named Franchisor of the Year 2009 by the American Association of Franchisees & Dealers. Curves, which is a female only gym franchise, has nearly 10,000 franchise owned fitness centres worldwide, which serves 4 million women.Robert Purvin, Chairman of the American Association of Franchisee & Dealers, said: 'Curves management has encouraged and supported the organisation of an independent franchisee association, including a willingness to engage the association's elected leadership.'
Gary Heavin, joint founder of Curves, commented: 'We have always made every effort to work hand in hand with our franchisees - as partners and as friends. I am pleased to accept this award in recognition of the collective efforts of our corporate employees and our franchisees.'
